The history of Gene & Glenn (Gene Carroll and Glenn Rowell) as published in "Tune In Yesterday" is that they were a comedy-team show that came out of radio's early days, and were very popular during the Depression era. They were heard 15 minutes a day, six days a week on "The Quaker Early Birds Program." The men took a piano-records-chatter-and-situation approach to their time on air. They were on various networkk and local radio slots until 1943 when Glenn decided to quit show business. Gene later returned to radio in 1947 as a part of the "Fibber McGee and Molly" team.
